According to reports, Liverpool centre-back Ibrahima KonatΓ© has rejected a new contract offer from the club.
With a year left of his contract, the French international looks set to follow the same path as former teammate Trent.
This would be a blow to Liverpool, given KonatΓ©βs success since arriving at the club.
In his first season, he was two games away from being part of history as Liverpool came close to a quadruple after final day heartbreak in the Premier League and a Champions League final loss.
Since arriving in 2021, he has won a Premier League, FA Cup and two League Cups.
With Real Madrid heavily linked, a move could even take place this summer if Real Madrid offer the right fee.
However, based on recent history with the move of Trent, Kylian MbappΓ© and Antonio RΓΌdiger, it is likely that KonatΓ© will spend the next season at Liverpool and leave on a free in the summer.
