A senior lecturer in the Faculty of Education at the Kogi State University, Anyigba, Dr. Olabode Ibikunle has died during a suspected sex bout with a 200-level student in a hotel room.

According to multiple sources, the married academic checked into the hotel three days ago with a young woman identified as a student of Social Studies Education, reportedly of Ebira origin.

Sources alleged that Dr. Ibikunle consumed multiple energy drinks prior to the encounter, ostensibly to enhance his performance and to ultimately impress his student-turned lover.

It was further gathered that while the initial round reportedly went uninterrupted, tragedy struck as he prepared for a second round with the lecturer. He was said to have collapsed suddenly.

An alarm was raised immediately, the student was taken into police custody for questioning. She allegedly told investigators that she had no idea how the lecturer died.
However, police are investigating possible foul play, including the possibility of poisoning.

The incident has since gone viral among students of the university, many of whom reacted with shock, disbelief, and in some cases, controversial humour. Social media platforms have been flooded with memes and comments referencing the late lecturer’s reportedly strict academic standards.

In several higher institutions, illicit relationships between lecturers and female students are rampant. Many students, especially victims of amorous lecturers are apparently over the moon because, one of such randy eggheads has died in his boots.

The days and weeks ahead will unveil what becomes of the lady who is still in police custody. Will there be a prima facie evidence to prosecute her? Time shall tell.
As of press time, police had not confirmed the official cause of death, and investigations are ongoing.
