JUST-IN: Nigerian Grammy-winning singer, Talay Riley, Dies At 35 After Stabbing In U.K

Nigerian-British singer-songwriter Talay Riley, born Mark Orabiyi, has daed at the age of 35 after being stabbed in east London.

Metropolitan Police officers responded to reports of a stabbing at a property on Rayleigh Road, Silvertown, on Friday morning and found Riley with stab wounds in a garden. He was pronounced d+ad at the scene.

In a tribute, his family described him as a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend whose kindness, talent, and spirit touched many lives. They said his memory would remain in their hearts forever.

Three people were arrested on suspicion of murder. A 27-year-old man was later released on bail pending further inquiries, while a 24-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were released without further action.

Detective Chief Inspector Joanna Yorke described the incident as tragic and said investigations are ongoing. Police have appealed for witnesses and anyone with CCTV or video footage from the area to come forward.
