High Chief Sobomabo Jackrich has accused the 27 lawmakers led by Martin Amaewhule of plotting to frame him and use security agencies to silence him because of his support for Governor Siminialayi Fubara. He alleged that they are determined to take him out of the way, either through arrest or other means.
He stated that he created the Simplicity Movement to support Fubara’s leadership after recognizing his qualities and commitment to transforming Rivers State. Jackrich also reaffirmed that neither he, the National Rescue Movement, the Niger Delta Liberation Force, nor the section of Tantita Security under his leadership has any connection to violence or criminal activities.
He said in a live coverage by Symfoni, “I have created what they call the Simplicity Movement to assist the governor, seeing his qualities, seeing his leadership prowess, his readiness to transform the state from what it was to what it is becoming today. And they want to take me away by framing me up, alleging things I don’t even know about. But the person advised me to be careful because they are planning to set me up in a way that they can get me—either using security agencies to invite me over and arrest me, or by any other means.”
