NAF Airstrikes Decimate Terrorist Enclave in Marte Axis of Lake Chad

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), under the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), on Monday carried out a precision airstrike on a terrorist enclave in Kollaram, within the Marte axis of the Lake Chad region.

The operation, which took place around 6:10 a.m., followed credible intelligence and surveillance indicating the presence of terrorist elements and logistical infrastructure in the area.

Military sources confirmed that the targeted air interdiction successfully destroyed key terrorist structures and critical logistics assets. A post-strike Battle Damage Assessment (BDA) revealed significant disruption to the insurgents’ operations in the Lake Chad corridor.

Speaking under condition of anonymity, a senior military official said the strike was part of ongoing efforts to assert aerial superiority and maintain sustained pressure on terrorist networks in the North East.

“The mission was executed with precision-guided munitions to ensure the neutralisation of only hostile targets. This operation significantly hampers the enemy’s ability to regroup or carry out coordinated attacks,” the source stated.

Preliminary intelligence, according to the source, indicates panic within the ranks of the terrorists, with some survivors reportedly fleeing toward nearby islands for refuge.
