Reno Omokri, a former presidential aide and socio-political commentator, has called out Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, over his continued silence regarding the arrest and now-approved extradition of Simon Ekpa by the Finnish government.

Ekpa, a known Biafra separatist and self-styled spokesperson of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), was arrested in Finland last year and is now set to be extradited to Nigeria to face charges related to inciting unrest in the South-East.

In a statement made via his official social media channels, Omokri questioned Obi’s refusal to comment on the issue, describing it as selective silence.
