Senator Ovie Omo-Agege Welcomes Delta Governor Oborevwori to APC, Hails Tinubu’s Leadership

Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, former Deputy President of the 9th Senate, has officially welcomed Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori into the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing the move as a testament to the success of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

In a statement issued Monday, Omo-Agege praised the Delta APC leadership and members for embracing Oborevwori and other former members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) now joining the APC. He emphasized that the defection signifies growing national confidence in the current administration’s efforts to drive growth and development.

“The leadership of the Delta State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) warmly welcomes His Excellency, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, and all leaders and members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) into the APC,” the statement read. “This historic move underscores the success of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.”

Omo-Agege also assured party stakeholders that any challenges arising from the realignment are being carefully managed in consultation with national party leaders, the Progressive Governors Forum, and Delta APC stakeholders.

He called on all local government and ward leaders, as well as party members and supporters, to participate actively in the welcome reception for the new members, scheduled for Monday in Asaba.
