CRIME NEWS: Man Arrested in Epe-Lagos for Allegedly Transporting Human Organs for Rituals

A 25-year-old man identified as Samson Oghenebreme has been arrested in Epe, Lagos State, for allegedly transporting human organs suspected to be intended for ritual purposes.

According to law enforcement sources, Oghenebreme was apprehended during a routine stop-and-search operation after officers grew suspicious of the contents in his luggage. Upon inspection, human body parts were reportedly discovered, leading to his immediate arrest.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect had travelled from Edo State and was allegedly en route to deliver the organs to a native doctor in Lagos.

A senior police official who spoke on condition of anonymity said, “The case is disturbing and is being treated with the utmost seriousness. We are expanding the investigation to uncover the network involved and bring all collaborators to justice.” CONTINUE READING

The Lagos State Police Command has assured the public that a full forensic analysis will be carried out and that the suspect will face the full weight of the law if found guilty.

As of press time, Oghenebreme remains in police custody, and further updates are expected as investigations continue.
