BREAKING: President Tinubu Congratulates Former Bauchi Governor Adamu Mu’azu at 70

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended heartfelt congratulations to former Governor of Bauchi State and ex-National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Ahmadu Adamu Mu’azu, on the occasion of his 70th birthday.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described Mu’azu as an “accomplished public servant and frontline politician” whose enduring relevance is rooted in his integrity, character, and statesmanship.

Reflecting on their shared political history, President Tinubu recalled their concurrent governorships from 1999 to 2007—a formative period in Nigeria’s democratic journey. He praised Mu’azu’s legacy in Bauchi State, noting that his administration was known for impactful investments in education, healthcare, and infrastructure that transformed the lives of the people.

The President also commended Mu’azu’s leadership as PDP National Chairman during the critical 2014–2015 transition period. “Though your party lost the 2015 presidential election to our party, the All Progressives Congress, you placed democratic values and the strengthening of political institutions above party interests, conceding victory in the elections,” the statement read.

President Tinubu concluded his message by wishing the former governor continued peace, robust health, and a sustained commitment to public service.
