Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has said ex-governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, should tell Nigerians what he was doing during the military regime of late General Sani Abacha.
Without waiting for a response, Omokri revealed that Obi was in bed with the dictator Abacha, who was monumentally corrupt and killed hundreds of Nigerians.
Omokri said this hours after President Bola Tinubu gave awards to many who fought against the Abacha regime to install democracy.

“You can imagine Peter Obi, a man who was in bed with the Abacha despotic regime that was monumentally corrupt and killed hundreds of Nigerians, including patriots like Pa Alfred Rewane, Kudirat Abiola, and Vice Admiral Tunde Elegbede, is now accusing a pro-democratic activist like Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who was exiled for his fight for the June 12 mandate given to Chief MKO Abiola, of destroying democracy.
“Peter Obi did not accuse the Abacha government that he collaborated with of destroying democracy. It is a man who fought for the democracy he, Peter Obi, is now enjoying, that he points fingers at.
“If democracy is truly in recession, how come President Tinubu allowed your bank to thrive and make ₦385.2 billion in the year ending December 2024, compared to ₦124.3 billion in the year ending December 2023?
“Would Abacha have allowed his opponent’s business to thrive the way Tinubu allowed your businesses to bloom?
