Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as “transformative leadership”, particularly in the areas of infrastructure development and environmental management.
In a rare full-page newspaper advertisement, Dangote commended the Tinubu administration’s swift action in mitigating ocean surges and flooding around Victoria Island, Lagos, a long-standing environmental concern for businesses and residents alike.
He further hailed the president’s vision in initiating the construction of a new Atlantic city, as well as the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and the Sokoto-Badagry Superhighway — two landmark infrastructure projects expected to significantly boost Nigeria’s economic integration and ease of transport.
“This is an honest and informed assessment of the President’s leadership,” the advert stated, subtly countering frequent opposition narratives that the Tinubu administration has achieved little over the past two years.
