The National Agricultural Development Fund has urged the public to be vigilant regarding deceptive messages, calls, and social media posts falsely claiming to collect personal details, payments, or registrations from farmers under the guise of the “NADF AgGrow Programme.”
The National Agricultural Development Fund (NADF) has issued a statement to inform the public that NADF does not impose any fees for joining the AgGrow Programme.
The statement reads: “The National Agricultural Development Fund (@nadfng) has become aware of fraudulent messages, calls, and social media posts falsely claiming to solicit personal information, payments, or registrations from farmers on behalf of the “NADF AgGrow Programme”.
“THE GENERAL PUBLIC IS HEREBY ADVISED: NADF DOES NOT request personal/financial details (BVN, NIN, bank accounts) directly from farmers via calls, SMS, or social media.
“NADF DOES NOT charge fees for participation in the AgGrow Programme.
All input distribution is strictly through pre-qualified agro-processors, no individual farmer payments are required.
“Legitimate AgGrow Program Process:
Inputs are 100% financed by NADF and disbursed only through pre-qualified agro-processors.
“Farmers are biometrically verified and farms geo-tagged via NADF’s secure digital M&E platform.
“No direct farmer repayments: Agro-processors settle 50% of costs post-harvest.
“Please report Suspicious Activity and
forward fraudulent messages/calls to info@nadf.gov.ng”
