Liverpool has received an offer for Luis Diaz from Bayern Munich, although the German’s initial bid is more than £20 million lower than the Reds’ asking price.
Despite his contract status, the Premier League winners have stated that their Colombian forward is not for sale, but suitors continue to make bids. According to Bild, Bayern has tabled a £44 million bid for Diaz, which is far below than the £68 million valuation they have placed on him.
Diaz has been with Anfield since January 2022, however he is one of numerous forwards on the team. Arne Slot has assaulted the transfer market this summer, and significant changes could still occur.
Bayern and Barcelona are both interested in Diaz. The Germans missed out on Florian Wirtz when he moved to Liverpool and are now assessing their alternatives, but the Catalans missed out on Nico Williams, who extended his contract with Athletic Bilbao.
Diaz has two years remaining on his contract and has been upfront about his conversations with Liverpool, but no agreement has been reached on his future. He informed Colombian influencer Mauricio Gomez, “We’re there, negotiating.” We’ll see what we can achieve for ourselves and the club. We’ll do our best to make the right decision.”
He stated, “We’re talking to clubs; it’s normal in the market, and we’re considering what’s best for us.” I am waiting to see what occurs. I have always mentioned that I am really happy at Liverpool. They’ve been really welcoming since the first day. If they offer us a decent renewal or if I stay for two years, I’ll be satisfied. Now it is up to them.”
