Tottenham have announced Mohammed Kudus’ shirt number following the conclusion of the lucrative summer deal.
The Ghana international was formally announced as a Spurs player on Wednesday, following a £55 million agreement with London rivals West Ham earlier in the week.
Kudus has impressed in the Premier League since joining from Ajax a few summers ago, scoring 13 goals and providing 12 assists in 65 appearances.
Kudus, who has been linked with a move to Chelsea this summer, has stated why Tottenham is the only club for him.
“One of the most important parts of why I came here is the project and how the manager sees it, and to develop under him,” he went on. “Given his background, I’ve seen how much skill he has grown to become a great player.Reported On X.
“It’s a clear indication of why I wanted to work with him as well.
“I’m very team-orientated so my personal goals are around helping the team get as many points as we can, to be as high as we can in the Premier League and perform really well and go as far as we can in the Champions League.”
Now, it has been confirmed that Kudus will wear No20 for Tottenham, which had previously been worn by Fraser Forster prior to his release at the end of last month.
Previous owners of this particular shirt number include Dele Alli, Michael Dawson and Wayne Routledge.
The 23-year-old is not expected to be Tottenham Hotspur’s final summer signing, as the club has activated Morgan Gibbs-White’s £60 million release clause in his Nottingham Forest contract.
The deal could be completed as early as today, with the midfielder scheduled to undergo a medical.
