The Katsina State Government has officially announced that former President Muhammadu Buhari will be buried on Tuesday, July 16, 2025, in his hometown of Daura.
In a press briefing held on Monday, government officials confirmed that all burial arrangements have been finalized in accordance with Islamic traditions.
According to the statement, the late president’s remains will arrive in Daura on Tuesday morning. Shortly after arrival, funeral prayers and interment will take place, with dignitaries, family members, and the public expected to attend.
The state government urged citizens to remain peaceful and respectful as the nation bids farewell to one of its longest-serving leaders.
