The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has stated that it will end the banditry plaguing Katsina State if it is voted into power in 2027.
This was after the state governor, Dikko Radda, slammed the ADC, accusing them of deceiving themselves by forming a coalition to unseat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at all levels.
According to Radda, who spoke during an interview on Sunrise Daily, a programme on Channels Television, the ADC is made up of familiar politicians with no fresh ideas or solutions for the country, adding that they are only angry because they no longer hold power.
βLetβs be realistic. Letβs tell ourselves the truth. The time for deceiving Nigerians is over,β he said.
βWho was not in the government in the last regime? Who is not in government? We know the track record of everyone. They are now crying and shouting because they are outside of the government.β
Radda challenged them to explain how they plan to govern the country differently.
βLet them come and tell Nigerians, are they going to bring the subsidy back? And with what resources are they going to run the government and pay for it?β he asked.
In response, ADC spokesperson, Bolaji Abdullahi, said the party will end banditry in Katsina, which the APC has failed to do.
He shared on X, “Governor Diko Rada of Katsina wants to know what the coalition will do differently. Good question!
“To start with, we will end banditry in his state, a task that the APC government has long given up on.”
He, however, failed to state how the party will achieve the target.
