The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced a temporary suspension of its ongoing recruitment portal. The decision, according to the Board, is aimed at enhancing portal efficiency and ensuring a transparent and seamless application process, OndoPress News report
The announcement was made on Wednesday via the Board’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle and confirmed in a press release signed by the Secretary to the Board, Maj. Gen. AM Jibril (rtd).
“As part of efforts to optimise the efficiency of its system, the CDCFIB announces that the portal https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng dedicated for the recruitment into its paramilitary agencies has been temporarily suspended,” the statement read.
The suspension, which takes effect immediately, is expected to last until Monday, July 21, 2025, when the portal will be reopened to applicants.
The Board cited an overwhelming volume of applications as the reason for the pause, emphasizing its commitment to delivering a fair, transparent, and efficient recruitment exercise.
“We appreciate the enthusiasm and interest of young Nigerians to serve their country through these vital agencies,” the statement added.
The recruitment drive covers four key paramilitary agencies:
- Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC)
- Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS)
- Federal Fire Service (FFS)
- Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS)
Applicants are encouraged to await further updates and prepare for the continuation of the application process next week.
