Political commentator and former presidential aide, Reno Omokri through his X page has shared from his well of knowledge on a logical way of receiving which can be refers to as “The Power of Giving Before Asking”
Reno uses the moment of propose as example as he stated that When a man proposes marriage, he often does it with a ring, flowers, or a thoughtful gift. Why? Because he knows something important about human nature: people are more open to saying yes when they feel valued, loved, and appreciated.
That same principle doesn’t just apply to romance—it applies to life.
Before you ask anyone for anything, give them something first. It doesn’t have to be material. It can be a genuine compliment, a helping hand, or your time and attention. People are wired to respond warmly to kindness, and when you give before you ask, you build a bridge of trust and goodwill.
He argued that the principle even works with God. Before you ask for a blessing, give Him praise. Before you ask for provision, show gratitude for what you already have. Praise opens the gates of favor.
Want to influence people? Want to build better relationships? Want to see doors open?
