
The Federal Government has announced plans to pay the overdue N35,000 wage award arrears to federal employees, covering a backlog of five months.
The Office of the Accountant General of the Federation disclosed on Monday that the first installment of the arrears will be disbursed immediately after the payment of April 2025 salaries.
According to the statement, the government had earlier released a wage award to employees in installments over a five-month period.
However, the outstanding balance will now be cleared through monthly payments of N35,000 over the next five months.
The move is expected to provide financial relief to federal workers amid the ongoing economic challenges. CONTINUE READING
