Afrobeats megastar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido or Omo Baba Olowo (OBO), has once again delivered a headline-grabbing clap back, which has got the internet buzzing with laughter and hot takes.

The singer, known for his wealth as much as his hits, recently fired back at critics who never tire of pointing out his billionaire background. This time, he took the heat in stride and turned it into a viral moment with a hilarious yet pointed tweet. The singer tweeted:

“This free jet wey I dey fly all around the world dey really pain una. I’m sorry it’s my birth right. In my next life, I go come back as vulcaniser. Ma binu.”

The comment was a direct response to the constant trolling he receives for using his father, Adedeji Adeleke’s, private jet. For years, social media users and even fellow artists have thrown shade at the singer, claiming that his success is all thanks to his family’s wealth and not his talent.

But Davido has always stood firm, insisting that he worked hard to earn his place in the industry. And with countless chart-topping songs, global recognition, and sold-out shows across continents, many would agree that he has more than proved his worth.

Still, that hasn’t stopped people from trying to discredit him. He once said in a past interview:

“They hate that I’m rich and still the hardest worker in the room.”

His latest tweet which seems like a sarcastic jab wrapped in humility and humour, is his way of telling the haters they won’t guilt trip him.

Fans flooded the comments with laughing emojis and supportive words, applauding Davido for owning his story and flipping negativity into comedy. Some even joked that if he comes back as a vulcaniser, they’d still be his fans.
