β€œThe government must begin to see youth not just as beneficiaries but as key stakeholders in driving national development,” Omini said.

β€œIf we must reposition this country, we must engage the youth meaningfully and strategically.”

Highlighting the mission of his organization, the ambassador disclosed that the Initiative for Youth Transformation and Positive Change is set to train 5,000 youths across Nigeria. According to him, the training will begin with council development projects in the South-South geopolitical zone, with plans to expand nationwide.

β€œThis is not the time for our youth to sit back. It is time for them to rise, get equipped, and take back their country through positive action and service,” Omini stated.

He further urged local and state governments to collaborate with civil society organizations and youth-led groups to ensure that young people are empowered with skills, leadership training, and platforms to contribute meaningfully to the country’s growth.
