Aisha Yesufu Urges Obi to Sue Adeyanju, Demands Evidence of Fraud Allegation
Activist, Aisha Yesufu, has called on Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, to take legal action against Barrister Deji Adeyanju over allegations of fraud.
Adeyanju, in several public statements, has claimed he possesses evidence to prove Obi is fraudulent, daring him to go to court.
Reacting via her X handle, Yesufu said as a supporter of Obi, she was eager to see the evidence Adeyanju insists he has.
“I would not be one to give support to anyone that is fraudulent, so this case will offer me and millions of others the opportunity to know whether to continue our support for Mr. Peter Obi or withdraw it,” she wrote.
Yesufu added that suing Adeyanju would be the civil thing to do, stressing that if Obi had used state power to arrest or jail the lawyer, she would have led a campaign against him.
“As for now, #LetsHaveTheEvidence!” she declared.
The development has generated heated reactions among political supporters online, with many calling on both men to either settle the matter in court or release verifiable facts to the public.
