BREAKING: Yemeni Forces Storm UN Offices After Israeli Airstrike Kills PM, Ministers
Armed Yemeni government personnel in Sanaa on Sunday stormed the offices of the United Nations, barely 24 hours after an Israeli airstrike killed Prime Minister Ahmad al-Rahawi alongside several cabinet ministers.
Reports indicate that the World Food Programme (WFP) headquarters was raided, with staff allegedly detained by the security forces. Similarly, the UNICEF office in Sanaa was also targeted, and some guards were said to have been abducted.
The dramatic move comes amid mounting anger in Yemen following the assassination of the country’s top leadership. Prime Minister al-Rahawi and multiple ministers were confirmed dead in Saturday’s Israeli airstrike, a development that has sent shockwaves across the region.
