Tambuwal made the declaration during a Channels Television interview on Friday, insisting that the process will be carried out democratically and lawfully.

“I’m fully involved in a process, democratically and lawfully, that will end by the grace of God in sending this government out of office,” he said.

When pressed further on his commitment, he replied, “100%, so now. With the help of God and Nigerians, we will send these people out of office.”

He also dismissed suggestions of a northern elite conspiracy against the Tinubu administration. Tambuwal stressed that the opposition front was a broad national coalition.

“Is Peter Obi from Northern Nigeria? Is Aregbesola not from Osun State? What are you telling me? Are they not all part of the coalition?” he asked.

In July, opposition leaders Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi aligned with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to form a united front against Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 polls. Several APC heavyweights have also signalled support for the new coalition.

Tinubu secured the presidency in 2023 with 37 per cent of the vote after opposition support was split between Atiku, who polled 29 per cent, and Obi, who garnered 25 per cent.
