Onanuga Knocks El-Rufai Over Shifting Position on Banditry

Veteran journalist and presidential aide, Bayo Onanuga, has criticized former Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, describing him as the “master of ambivalence” over his shifting stance on Nigeria’s banditry crisis.
Onanuga, in a statement on Sunday, recalled that El-Rufai once championed the idea of paying bandits to restore calm in affected communities, but now strongly opposes any form of dialogue or concessions with the criminal groups.
