Ulasi Says, Nigeria Runs Civil Rule, Not Democracy

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Dan Ulasi, has said Nigeria does not practise true democracy but rather a form of civil rule dominated by political godfatherism, money politics, and weak institutional values.

Speaking in an interview with ARISE NEWS on Friday, Ulasi dismissed claims that the country’s political system reflects democratic values, describing it as fundamentally flawed.

According to him, genuine democracy is absent because very few politicians rise to power on their own without the support of political benefactors.
