JUST-IN: Four Rivers Lawmakers Dump PDP For APC
Four members of the House of Representatives from Rivers State have defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), further reshaping the political landscape in the oil-rich state.
The lawmakers, who formally announced their defection on Thursday, include:
- Abiante Awake-Inombek, representing Andoni/Opobo Federal Constituency
- Emerengwa Boniface, representing Ikwerre/Emuoha Federal Constituency
- Goodhead Boma, representing Asari-Toru Federal Constituency
- Umezuruike Manuchim, representing Port Harcourt I Federal Constituency
Their defection adds to the growing wave of cross-carpeting in the National Assembly amid internal crises within opposition parties and ongoing political realignments ahead of future elections.
