Thembisa Mdoda’s Second Marriage Reportedly Hits Rock Bottom

Television presenter and actress Thembisa Mdoda‑Nxumalo is said to be facing serious trouble in her second marriage, with sources claiming the union has reached a breaking point.

According to repo, Mdoda and her husband, businessman Abie Ngoma also known publicly as Eric “Abie” Nxumalo have been struggling to resolve ongoing differences for several months.

It is alleged that Abie moved out of the couple’s Fourways home and has been living separately in Northcliff, while Thembisa remains with their children.

Insiders says that disputes between the pair stemmed from frequent arguments and disagreements over aspects of their relationship, with attempts to reconcile ultimately failing.

As a result, Thembisa is said to have instructed attorneys to begin divorce proceedings to formally end the marriage this year.

The couple’s separation has reportedly sparked a potential battle over assets. Although their customary marriage was not formally registered, Mdoda is insisting on her legal rights to shared property, including their house, vehicles, and other possessions. Ngoma, however, disputes these claims on the basis that the marriage was not registered under South African law.

This would be Thembisa’s second failed marriage. She was previously married to actor Atandwa Kani, with whom she parted ways in 2015 after a highly publicised split. At that time, Kani claimed the relationship became unstable and ultimately ended amid personal controversies.

Neither Mdoda nor Ngoma had publicly responded to requests for comment at the time of publication.
