Three men have been arrested in Nafada Local Government Area of Gombe State for allegedly engaging in ritual activities involving human remains.

Sources told Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred on Feb. 24, 2026, when Zakari Ibrahim, 45, of Barwo Sabon Gari Village, reported that he saw Umar Ibrahim, 30, of Madaki Quarters, Barwo Winde District, digging a grave at Barwo Sabon Gari Grave Yard.

During interrogation, Umar Ibrahim reportedly admitted that he was sent by his father, Ibrahim Usman, 60, of the same address, to remove body parts from a deceased person for ritual purposes.

He further confessed that in 2025, he had previously exhumed a human toe from the same graveyard and handed it over to Alhaji Bappa Abdu, 35, also of the same area.
