Viral Video: Woman Banished in Imo Over Alleged Sale of Sister-in-Law’s Child for ₦800,000

A woman has been banished from Umekpu village in Ogbaku, Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State following allegations that she sold her sister-in-law’s son for ₦800,000.

Community sources said village leaders convened after the accusation came to light and resolved to expel the woman, declaring her persona non grata.

A video that surfaced on Thursday captured the moment she was escorted out of the community by a group of villagers.

In the footage, some residents were seen chanting and jeering as she was led away.

Addressing the gathering in the video, a community leader stated that the decision was reached after confirming the allegation.Full Video, Here. .

“We are banishing her from our community, Umekpu Village, Ogbaku, in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State,” he said. “She sold her sister-in-law’s son for ₦800,000 and for that reason, we have to banish her.”
