A group of Arab and Muslim countries, including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Türkiye and Pakistan, have jointly called on Iran to immediately halt its attacks following a high-level meeting in Riyadh.

The joint statement was issued after foreign ministers from 12 countries convened in the Saudi capital to address the escalating conflict in the region.

According to reports, the countries condemned recent Iranian missile and drone strikes, particularly those targeting neighbouring states and critical infrastructure, describing them as dangerous and destabilising.

The ministers stressed the need to protect civilian populations and maintain regional stability, while reaffirming their countries’ right to defend their sovereignty.

The Riyadh meeting comes amid intensifying hostilities across the Middle East, with attacks affecting energy facilities, military bases and shipping routes, raising fears of a broader regional conflict.

Analysts say the unified stance reflects growing concern among Gulf and allied states over the widening impact of the crisis, especially on oil infrastructure and economic stability.

The development marks one of the most coordinated regional responses so far, as diplomatic efforts continue alongside escalating military actions.
