Iran has escalated beyond U.S. bases and is now hitting the heart of global energy infrastructure, mainly in retaliation for Israel’s strike on Iran’s South Pars gas field.

Qatar’s Ras Laffan, the world’s largest LNG hub, was hit by a wave of multiple Iranian missiles in a single night.

In Saudi Arabia, 4 ballistic missiles targeted areas near Riyadh, including 2 refineries. They were mostly intercepted, but debris injured residents. Also, a fire broke out at Yanbu oil terminal on the Red Sea coast.

Saudi FM made strong statements during an emergency regional security meeting in Riyadh yesterday, calling Iran’s actions a “dangerous escalation” and noting trust is “completely shattered.”
