Oman Urges U.S. to Exit ‘Unlawful War,’ Warns of Inevitable Iranian Response

Oman’s Foreign Minister has called on allies of the United States to help Washington disengage from the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, describing the war as unlawful and strategically misguided.

In a strongly worded statement, the minister said the U.S. administration had made a serious miscalculation by becoming involved in the crisis.

“Friends of the United States should help it exit this unlawful war. The U.S. administration miscalculated badly by allowing itself to be dragged into it,” he said.

The Omani official also warned that Iran’s response against U.S. targets in neighbouring countries was a foreseeable outcome of the escalation.

“Iran’s response against U.S. targets on neighbouring soil is an inevitable — though regrettable — consequence,” he added.

He further stressed that the conflict does not serve American interests and questioned the strategic objectives of both Washington and Israel.

“This is not America’s war, and there is no realistic scenario in which Israel and the United States achieve what they want,” he said.
