North Korean leader, Kim Jong Un, has released a message addressed to Muslims worldwide on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, linking the celebration to broader geopolitical struggles.

In the statement, Kim congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the end of Ramadan but said what he described as the “true celebration” would come with what he termed the “liberation” of Palestine.
“Today, you celebrate Eid al-Fitr… however, we declare that your true celebration—the great victory—is yet to come,” he said.

Kim criticised what he called “imperialist forces” and urged resistance against what he described as occupation and exploitation, framing the issue as a wider struggle against global injustice.
