Troops Arrest Two High-profile Terrorist Collaborators In Borno

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested two high-profile collaborators linked to Boko Haram Biu Local Government Area of Borno State.

Security sources said the suspects, identified as Dattiwa Ali and Jidda Abdullahi, were apprehended at about 5:00 p.m. on March 15 at Miringa Market following credible intelligence.

The sources said troops of 231 Tank Battalion, in collaboration with local hunters, carried out the operation based on reports that the suspects were coordinating a sleeper cell and storing arms and ammunition for terrorist groups.

“Acting on the intelligence, troops moved swiftly to the location and successfully arrested the suspects,” the source said.

Items recovered from the suspects included two mobile phones, two wristwatches and a RAM module.

The suspects and recovered items are currently in military custody for further investigation.
