BREAKING; CHINA’s Top Chipmaker SMIC Supplied Chipmaking Tools to IRAN’s Military, US Officials Say
China’s largest chipmaker, has sent chipmaking tools to Iran’s military.
Shipments began roughly a year ago (around early 2025), and U.S. officials say there is “no reason to believe” they have stopped.
The cooperation “almost certainly included technical training” on SMIC’s semiconductor technology.
