According to a report by GiveMeSport on Wednesday August 27, 2025, Manchester United are reportedly confident of finalizing the signing of goalkeeper Senne Lammens within the next 24 hours

The Red Devils have spent much of the summer bolstering their attack, investing over £200 million in Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and Benjamin Sesko. Now, attention has shifted to strengthening other areas of the squad, including the goalkeeper position.

Lammens, described as “phenomenal,” has become United’s primary target for the role. Talks over a transfer worth approximately £17 million are ongoing.

The player has already agreed personal terms and is keen to join, while Royal Antwerp are reportedly willing to let him leave to honor his wishes. However, a formal agreement between the clubs is still pending.

Michel suggests that Manchester United officials are optimistic that the deal will be completed within the next two days, potentially before their upcoming Premier League match against Burnley at Old Trafford.

So far this season, manager Ruben Amorim has used Altay Bayindir in goal against Arsenal and Fulham, with first-choice keeper Andre Onana initially not in the squad and then left on the bench.

While Lammens may not immediately become the starting goalkeeper, he is expected to compete with the current options, and at least one of Bayindir or Onana could leave before the September 1 deadline.

Additionally, United anticipate selling Alejandro Garnacho, Tyrell Malacia, and Jadon Sancho before the transfer window closes. Marcus Rashford is the only first-team player to have departed this summer, moving to Barcelona on a season-long loan.
