A 40-year-old Nigerian man, Daniel Chima Inweregbu, has pleaded guilty to fraud charges in the United States over a “romance scam” that defrauded multiple US citizens of over $405,000. Daniel Chima Inweregbu pleaded guilty to fraud in the U.S.

The scam targeted US citizens and amounted to over $405,000.

He and his co-conspirators used fake profiles and an alias, “Larry Pham.”The scam ran from July 2017 to December 2018.
