Kwankwaso: We’re Open To Dialogue, Not In A Hurry’

Former presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has said he and his followers are open to discussion regarding political alliance.
Kwankwaso said he and his followers are willing to dialogue with anyone ready to engage them.
The former Kano State governor made the remark while dismissing claims of ongoing talks with other political parties ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
In an interview with BBC Hausa, Kwankwaso said there is no need for haste in political decisions.
He noted that members of the NNPP are content where they are.
According to Kwankwaso: “Our members are not in a hurry; everything we do is carefully considered.
“The NNPP is not in discussions with any political party at the moment for the purpose of forming an alliance, but that does not rule out future engagements.
“We are politicians, and we are always open to dialogue with anyone willing to engage with us”.
There are reports that President Bola Tinubu was wooing Kwankwaso to join the All Progressives Congress ahead of 2027.
