Although the Trendyol Super Lig transfer window does not close for a while yet, several Turkish clubs have been busy.

Fenerbahce seem to be close to signing the likes of Ederson and Marco Asensio.

Whilst Galatasaray recently announced the signing of Wilfried Singo.

It looks like the defending champions are not done there, either.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Galatasaray have agreed a deal with Manchester City to sign Ilkay Gundogan.

He reports that they are still waiting for the player’s approval on a two year contract.

Although he was born and raised in Germany, Gundogan was born to Turkish parents.

So you can see why playing in his family’s homeland would be an attractive proposition t0 him.
