JUST IN: Israel Reportedly Planning Annexation of 60% of West Bank
Israel is reportedly drawing up plans to annex Area C of the West Bank, a territory that constitutes nearly 60 percent of the occupied Palestinian land.
Area C, which is under full Israeli military and administrative control, has long been a flashpoint in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Human rights groups and international observers warn that annexation of such a vast portion of the West Bank would effectively end prospects for a two-state solution, as it would leave Palestinians with fragmented enclaves and little territorial continuity.
