Nuno admitted last month that his relationship with the owner is not what it used to be.

Meanwhile, there are reports that Nuno does not get on with sporting director Edu Gaspar.

This is perhaps proven by the fact that Douglas Luiz, who is said to be a Gaspar signing, has been an unused sub in both games since joining.

Furthermore, Omari Hutchinson – who is represented by the same agency as Gaspar – has been left out of their Europa League squad.

Despite being the club’s record signing just last month.

So, although Nuno’s time at the club has been successful so far, his days at the club feel numbered.
His replacement could be someone currently managing in the English Premier League.

According to Football Insider, Marco Silva is ‘unhappy’ at Fulham, and is in firm contention to take over at Forest.

They report that, like Nuno, Silva is represented by Jorge Mendes’ Gestifute agency, who do a lot of player trading with Marinakis and his clubs.

Forest have four points from the opening three games, which isn’t disastrous but is also fairly underwhelming.

Many suggested that a 3-0 defeat at home to West Ham United would be the excuse Marinakis was hoping for in order to sack Nuno.

Particularly the game before an international break, where lots of owners see the increased time to get a replacement in as a reason to pull the trigger.

It’s worth mentioning that Silva has worked under Marinakis before, at Olympiacos. They won the 15/16 Greek Super League under the Portuguese manager.
