According to flight tracking data reviewed by ondopress news, the aircraft departed from Provo Airport, located about 12 minutes from Utah Valley University, before switching off its transponder mid-flight. The move obscured the jet’s route and has been described by aviation experts as highly unusual.

Investigations have revealed that the jet is owned by Derek Maxfield, a Utah-based businessman and philanthropist known for his financial support to the Chabad Lubavitch of Utah.
