According to the new directive, graduation activities will now only be permitted for pupils completing terminal classes — Primary 6, Junior Secondary School 3 (JSS3), and Senior Secondary School 3 (SS3).

The government said the decision was taken to discourage the rising trend of elaborate ceremonies at the lower school levels, which it described as unnecessary and financially burdensome for parents.

It stressed that graduation should be reserved strictly for pupils moving into new educational phases, while schools are encouraged to focus on teaching and learning outcomes at the foundational stages, and..  Read . .More —
