The Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Maikaba, disclosed this while briefing newsmen at the command headquarters in Gusau, the state capital, on the successes recorded in the past month of August alone.
The police and other security agencies are waging a war against banditry in Zamfara State, Northwest Nigeria, to dislodge the bandits who have ravaged many communities, killing innocent people, and kidnapping several others, as well as crippling the economic activities.
The Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Maikaba, while rolling out the successes achieved in arresting thirteen suspected bandits, recovering four firearms with four magazines, and rescuing nineteen hostages, said the police will not rest on their oars in the ongoing onslaught against the bandits.
