Popular singer and entrepreneur, Mr Eazi, has revealed that music contributes only a fraction of his overall income, stressing that business remains his primary focus.
The 34-year-old, born Oluwatosin Ajibade, disclosed that he did not grow up poor, noting that his father worked as a pilot before founding an aviation consulting firm.
After completing his early education in Nigeria, Mr Eazi studied Mechanical Engineering at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana. At the age of 23, he returned to Nigeria and began his career as a mechanical engineer with Schlumberger.
Speaking on his entrepreneurial drive, he explained that he had experimented with ventures ranging from club promotion to e-commerce before gaining recognition in the music industry.
“Music makes up just 20 percent of my earnings. Long before recognition, I was already an entrepreneur. Today, I operate companies in 18 African countries,” he said.
Mr Eazi further emphasized that he and his wife, Temi Otedola, are focused on building businesses and driving social impact.
“I’m more than music—I’m a businessman first,” he added.
