IPOB: Nnamdi Kanu Alleges Medical Neglect, Life-Threatening Health Crisis In Custody

The detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has raised alarm over what he described as a deliberate attempt by the Department of State Services (DSS) to deny him proper medical care despite evidence of a worsening health condition.. . Read ..Full.. Article.. .

His lawyer, Barrister Nnaemeka Ejiofor, who visited him at the DSS headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday, conveyed Kanu’s message to the public, stressing that the IPOB leader’s health is deteriorating rapidly in solitary confinement.

Ejiofor quoted Kanu as saying that DSS doctors recently confirmed he has a “dangerously low potassium level” that poses an imminent risk of heart failure.

According to him, the condition has persisted despite the medications provided by the DSS.
