Adefarasin, the Senior Pastor of House on the Rock and convener of The Experience worship concert, was seen in the video that surfaced online in June holding a gun-like object while confronting a car spotter who had been filming his vehicle.

The footage sparked widespread criticism and speculation online, with many viewers believing the object was a real firearm.

In a public statement after the video went viral, Adefarasin denied the allegations, clarifying that the object in question was not a firearm.

“I want to assure you of this — that that was certainly not a firearm, and at no point did I point such at anyone,” he said.

He reiterated this position during a sermon on June 8, revealing that the backlash had taken an emotional toll on him.

Despite his public denial, the Lagos State Police Command confirmed that a stun gun — not a conventional firearm — was recovered from the pastor.

Adefarasin voluntarily presented himself at the Command Headquarters in Ikeja, where he was questioned and gave a cautionary statement.
