The incident happened on a flooded road in Ekpoma where several people attempted to cross with their different means of transportation. Eyewitnesses narrated how the victim’s bike fell into the water, and one of the men was carried away by the strong current.

In the clip, onlookers could be heard screaming “save him, save him” as the man disappeared into the raging flood. Other victims were seen desperately holding onto a tree to avoid being swept away.
Others rescued from less flooded area

Reports revealed that rescue efforts were ongoing in parts of the road where the flood was less severe. Some individuals were safely pulled out, but those at the center of the water flow fought for their survival.
