The new policy updates the 2015 framework, addressing existing gaps and introducing improvements on evidence-based decision-making and global best practices.

Key focus areas include strengthening institutional coordination, improving migrant protection, promoting safe and regular migration pathways, supporting sustainable reintegration, ensuring inclusivity, and addressing climate-induced mobility.

A statement by the Command’s PRO MA Yerima indicates that the sensitisation programme, as directed by the Comptroller General Kemi Nanna Nandap who was represented by Deputy Comptroller of Immigration Aminu Abubakar aims to enhance awareness among stakeholders and ensure effective implementation of the policy across the country.if you’re reading from Phoenix, Click on Read Original at the top to read full details
